SJS Awareness Oregon was formed in honor of Nicole Chapman. She was diagnosed with SJS/Tens in 1993 at the age of six years old from an unknown cause. She was hospitalized in Klamath Falls, Oregon then flown to Portland, Oregon where she spent the next 21 days in the burn unit. She deals with numerous side effects. Nicole has had over 40 surgeries since she was first diagnosed with the syndrome
What we do
We Increase awareness of sjs, support Medical projects That benefit the community.
we also donated funds to the Vanderbilt SJS research fund.
Locally we have created a car show to spread awareness.
Handed out hundreds of Fact Sheets. Created Awarness bags for Medical staff. Donated toys for local hospital kids unit.
spoke at the SJS conference in Canada. Donated scholarships at the Miss Klamath county scholarship program. Donated a Battery pack for the David's Chair in Gold Beach.
The past 13 years we have spread awareness by Having a car show. The show is at Lithia Ford Klamath Falls.
